Category 1: AI-native support automation
Raisolve (full disclosure: that's us) leads this category for Shopify-specific AI support. The key differentiators are native Shopify data access (not just email classification), multi-tool coverage (support, tracking, reviews, upsells, B2B), and token-based pricing.
Category 2: Order tracking and notifications
TrackIQ (part of Raisolve) and Aftership are the two leading options. TrackIQ is better integrated with Raisolve's AI support; Aftership has a wider standalone carrier network.
Category 3: Help desk and ticketing
Gorgias leads this category for Shopify-specific features. Zendesk is better for multi-channel enterprise operations. Freshdesk is a cost-effective middle ground. For AI-native operations, all three are largely redundant.
Category 4: Reviews
Loox leads for photo/video reviews. Yotpo is better for enterprise review management. Judge.me is the most cost-effective option for stores under $1M.
Category 5: Returns management
Loop Returns is the category leader for returns automation, especially for fashion and apparel. Returnly is strong for subscription models.
